Literacy.

Digital Literacy is the storytelling Capstone Design Studio for the senior students of Industrial Design department at Hongik University to build the design stories of their thesis design projects through the latest digital methods. Each year the class selects the latest digital methods/ software and analyzes the digital presentation trends in order to create their product design stories with the expression of the form aesthetics, CMF , UX/UI design concept. All students bring their own design subject with own brand and build their own digital animation storytelling contents with 3 professors. Currently we use the software of After Effect and C4D for the animation building along with a variety product design software including Rhino, Keyshot advanced etc. Our goal of the course is to learn the way to express the beauty of the product design in the form , color and material details and the user experience & user interface of product design. After the thesis project, students take part in the industry-collaboration project by the application of the skills they developed through their thesis projects.
